Clarity Visual Systems has signed a contract with InFocus to manufacture their TD-61 product. The 61-inch displays will be part of the ultra-thin rear projection category.
Under the agreement, Clarity would build a new generation of co-branded displays based on the InFocus engine that integrates proprietary, patent-pending engine and screen technology with a micro-display device currently using Texas Instruments' DLP technology.
The InFocus engine that will be used by Clarity is also the foundation for the InFocus ScreenPlay micro-display television.
In addition to designing and manufacturing the rear-projection display system for InFocus, Clarity will design and build its own branded ultra-thin rear-projection system, Bengal, using the InFocus light engine.
