Controlware released two media services network management software modules designed to enable control, monitoring, resource management and scheduling, as well as efficient interaction between service providers and their end users.
The two new products, EasySwitch and NetSwitch, are built on the Controlware/Dimetis' OpenPlatform software suite. OpenPlatform facilitates full control over a broadcaster's media transport assets, thereby enabling fast, accurate service with a minimum of delay.
EasySwitch provides pushbutton control of video and data connections. NetSwitch is available in many configurations, including scheduling, bandwidth management, monitoring, fault resolution, control of routers and codecs. EasySwitch and NetSwitch systems support multiple network topologies and are in use today at broadcasters, multiple-service operators, telecommunications companies, media transport service providers and satellite distribution companies.
