NBC Olympic Winter Games coverage features Isilon IQ technology

NBC is using Isilon IQ in its broadcast coverage of the XX Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy. Content is being stored on more than 15TB of Isilon clustered storage, providing NBC producers with rapid review, identification and selection capabilities.

NBC is combining Blue Order’s asset management system with Isilon IQ clustered storage. This solution provides users with immediate searchable access to all game and background video content, allowing them to quickly search through hours of footage to deliver Olympic broadcasts to viewers.

The next generation of the Isilon IQ family of clustered storage systems – the Isilon IQ 1920, 3000 and 6000 – which are powered by the latest version of Isilon's OneFS distributed file system software and use high-speed, low-latency InfiniBand for intracluster communication.
