The openGear terminal equipment system from Ross Video can house up to 10 card modules of any type.

Ross Video unveiled openGear, an open frame standard that blends the simplicity of a fixed 100-BNC rear connector and the flexibility of independent rear modules. The 2RU rackframe, designed for multi-definition, multi-function applications, can house up to 10 card modules of any type.

OpenGear modules are available from a selection of partners, allowing customers the flexibility to pick the most appropriate module for their application. The product aims to fit with multiple frame standards and modules for terminal equipment solutions. OpenGear also provides the platform for a web-based control system that allows quick and easy monitoring and control of openGear frames and modules on the network.
