Softron shows DV ingest application

Oct 11, 2007 8:00 AM

Softron Media Services demonstrated its newly released MovieRecorderDV, which allows Macintosh users to capture multiple streams of DV video on the same workstation, during IBC2007. MoveRecorderDV comes bundled with MovieRecorder Control to monitor multiple inputs.

MovieRecorderDV supports multicamera capture as well as instant availability of ingested content for editing, so editing can begin before ingest is completed.

MovieRecorderDV allows Macintosh owners who regularly ingest media for editing, presenting, compositing and databasing to use cost-effective hardware solutions. When used in a studio environment on a network, media is edit-ready for everyone on the network even while the event that is being recorded continues.
