The new Telecast Fiber Systems SG5070 SDI-HD/SDI video signal generator enables broadcasters to test fiber and copper transmission paths and identify signals in the field.
The generator, is capable of producing four different video test patterns in seven HD formats and six SDI formats. It is designed to complement the company's existing Viper II line of fiber optic products.
In addition to its standard 75 ohm outputs, the SG5070 features an option for fiber optic ST connector outputs that enable direct-to-optical testing. This allows users to establish and verify high-bandwidth HD transport through their existing fiber networks. Pattern and format selection is accomplished from the module faceplate with buttons and LED displays. The new module can be used in the Viper II frame or as a stand-alone module equipped with an external 12-VDC power supply.
