Twin Cities Public Television will use the Panasonic AK-HC931 specifically for the HD production of two weekly, live shows.
The AK-HC931 SD/HD cameras are being installed in the station’s recently upgraded studio and control room. The AJ-HD1200A will be teamed with an editing system using Apple’s Final Cut Pro HD software. The AK-HC931 features three 2/3in 1 million pixel (1280x720 progressive scan) IT CCDs. Weighing less than 10lbs, it also features a standard 480i SD output.
Panasonic’s AJ-HDC27 VariCam replicates many features of film-based image acquisition, including 24-frame progressive scan images, time lapse recording, and a wide range of variable frame rates for “overcranked” and “undercranked” off-speed in-camera effects. The AJ-HDC27 VariCam also features CineGamma software that permits Panasonic’s HD Cinema camera systems to more closely match the latitude of film stocks.
