Vela unveils decoder with real-time multi-format playback capability

The frame-accurate CineView Pro LT from Vela is a flexible decoder that has standard MPEG-2 playback data rates at up to 50Mb/s.

It’s available with Vela’s optional Prism transcoding software plug-in for real time transcoding of MPEG-2 audio/video files to Microsoft Windows Media V.9, Ligos MPEG-1, and Real G2 streams.

The analog CineView Pro LT features genlock, seamless playout in a playlist, full OSD functionality, SMPTE time code output, and Dolby Digital 5.1 compressed bitstream output, on a half-sized board. It uses Vela’s GUI with PlayAdvantage software, and a set of video management tools.

The new CineView Pro LT will be demonstrated at NAB2005.
