Wirespring Technologies’ Firecast Media Appliance
Wirespring Technologies’ Firecast Media Appliance provides a turnkey hardware/software solution. It mounts to the back of plasma displays and combines a compact and powerful industrial computer with a preinstalled copy of FireCast OS.
The Firecast Media Appliance uses an Intel Celeron/Pentium 4 processor and ATI Radeon graphics card. Together, these provide smooth playback of Flash movies, full-motion video in a multitude of formats and crisp text at various resolutions.
With both computer and standard A/V outputs, the Media Appliance can drive plasma displays, LCDs, projectors, televisions, and more. Ample cooling is provided by active and passive ventilation (including redundant fans and a forced air path over the hard drive), helping maximize system reliability even in constant-use conditions.
