Akamai Technologies has made available Akamai Stream OS, an enterprise-class, rich media management solution.
Akamai’s Stream OS solution provides a simple, automated way for content owners to manage and distribute large digital libraries, including video and audio assets, online. At the foundation of the Stream OS solution is Akamai’s global media delivery platform.
The solution improves on existing manual rich media management processes by providing a single online interface through which multiple content owners within an enterprise can easily upload, manage and organize digital assets in an automated way through customizable directories. Content can then be published, in a controlled way, to support both traditional syndication models and viral distribution across the Internet. Akamai Stream OS provides detailed analytics at both an enterprise and asset level across distribution channels, referring sites and accessing devices.
