MyToons.com turns to Limelight
Limelight Networks is providing the advanced Flash video streaming infrastructure for MyToons.com, a new content-sharing Web site that distributes user-contributed animation videos to Internet audiences worldwide. As the exclusive CDN for MyToons.com, Limelight has provided Flash delivery of animated content to more than 1.5 million unique visitors in the first three weeks after launch.

Pixelmetrix names Scanlon North American VP of sales 
Pixelmetrix has appointed Stephen Scanlon as vice-president, sales, for North America. Scanlon’s appointment is in line with the company’s expansion of its IPTV suite of applications and solutions in the region.

Eagle Broadband sells portion of Texas fiber network
National IPTV product and service provider Eagle Broadband has entered into an agreement to sell a portion of its fiber network located in northwest Harris County, TX, and Fort Bend County, TX, to Optical Entertainment Network (OEN).
OEN will pay Eagle $1.9 million over 13 months. The purchase agreement also provides for an additional payment of $800,000 to Eagle in the event OEN is purchased by a third party or if OEN sells the network to a third party.

Helius to acquire PointeCast
Helius has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PointeCast, a global provider of rapid communication and online training solutions. With the addition of the PointeCast product line, Helius adds rapid content authoring tools.
The acquisition is expected to be completed in the second quarter. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Multimedia Polska relies on Latens Systems for CA
Latens Systems will provide Multimedia Polska with its downloadable conditional-access system to provide content and revenue security as it transitions to digital cable.
The deployment sees Latens CAS integrated with Multimedia Polska’s IPTV and DVB-C infrastructure, including ADB set-top boxes, MHP middleware from Osmosys and Minerva IPTV middleware.
