Inuk Networks, a triple-play service provider in the UK, will provide access to live Barclays Premier League games on the Setanta Sports 1 channel as part of its new premium TV offering — Freewire TV Extra: Student Pack. The service will be available from September to students living in university residence halls.

Bledsoe Telephone Cooperative upgrades network with Occam Networks
Bledsoe Telephone Cooperative in Pikeville, TN, has gone live with a major network upgrade to provide all voice, data and video services over a hybrid copper/fiber network.
To implement the upgrade, Bledsoe purchased multiple components of Occam Network’s Broadband Loop Carrier (BLC) system. Most Bledsoe subscribers now have access to IP video and data as well as advanced voice services.

China Telecom Shanghai expands network with Juniper Networks TX Matrix
China Telecom Shanghai has optimized its IP network, supporting IPTV and other multiplay applications, by deploying additional Juniper Networks TX Matrix and T640 core routing platforms.
The service provider, a wholly owned subsidiary of China Telecom, first deployed the multi-chassis TX Matrix alongside existing Juniper Networks M-series multiservice routers and E-series edge routers in February 2006. The current expansion of its multi-terabit core network is designed to meet rapid subscriber and traffic growth.

Vancouver International Airport has installed Optibase H.264 IPTV streaming solutions to enhance the experience of travelers visiting the airport.
Optibase’s carrier-grade MGW platforms allows the airport to stream high-quality H.264/MPEG-4 video at low bit rates to multiple locations using the airport’s IP network.

Korea Telecom's IPTV service uses STMicroelectronics HD decoder chips
Korea Telecom (KT) has launched its new IPTV service using high-definition (HDTV) set-top boxes based on STMicroelectronics' STi710x family of integrated HDTV decoder chips.
The commercialization of Korea's IPTV service was successfully tested and evaluated during the final trial in May 2007, and KT officially announced the launch of its IPTV service in Korea July 5.
