Envivio, National Grid Wireless demonstrate WiMAX TV

Envivio and National Grid Wireless teamed up at IBC2007 last month in Amsterdam to demonstrate streamed TV alongside VoIP and data across a WiMAX network.
The network, which used a full headend with an Envivio Mobile TV encoder, was available throughout the RAI Congress Center, the venue of IBC2007.
Deploying the open systems-based solution can enable mobile WiMAX operators to reach the three screens of video — TVs, PCs and mobile phones. The solution supports a variety of revenue-generating business models by providing subscribers with anytime, anywhere connection capabilities.
