Triveni Digital joins Juniper Networks development program

Triveni Digital has joined the Juniper Networks Open IP Solution Development Program, which gives Triveni Digital access to the Partner Solution Development Platform (PSDP) that enables development of specialized applications on its JUNOS software.

The PSDP provides Triveni Digital with a software development kit (SDK), which it will use to integrate its StreamScope video monitoring solution with Juniper Networks JUNOS software to enable deep MPEG analysis for application on Juniper Networks high-performance edge routers.

Deutsche Telekom chooses JDSU T-BERD/MTS-6000A

Deutsche Telekom has selected the JDSU T-BERD/MTS-6000A Multi-Services Application Module to support delivery of 10GigE, SDH, OTN and Fibre Channel-based networks. 

Operators like Deutsche Telekom are deploying 10GigE in response to the demand for increased bandwidth services like T-Home and the corresponding strain on networks.

Concurrent has named David King and its new chief marketing officer.

King joins Concurrent as CMO

Concurrent has named David King chief marketing officer responsible for all aspects of the company’s global corporate marketing strategy, strategic alliances and channel partnerships. He will report directly to president and CEO Dan Mondor.

Prior to joining Concurrent, King served as VP global marketing for NEC.

Kontron, Astute Networks announce performance benchmark results

Embedded and open modular solutions provider Kontron and bladed storage solution provider Astute Networks have announced new read/write I/O benchmark results.

Integrated within the Kontron OM9020, a 2U, two-slot AdvancedTCA platform, both the Astute Networks Caspian R1100 Edge Storage Blade (Caspian R1100) and the Kontron AT8030 AdvancedTCA Intel-based 10GbE node server were lab-tested to achieve an I/O performance of 68K read I/Os per second configured with 375MB per second read, and 62K write I/Os per second configured with 360MB per second write using large-block transfers.

Private Media Group strikes content licensing deal with Virginmega France

Private Media Group last week announced an agreement with Virginmega France for the supply of content for distribution on the PC platform of Virginmega.fr and its IPTV operator partner.

The deal with Virginmega means Private now distributes to nearly all of the French IPTV market.
