Harmonic will present IP video products at NAB

The DiviCom Electra 7000 HD encoder facilitates on-demand video delivery.
At NAB2007 (booth #SU9620), Harmonic will showcase MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) compression and stream processing technology for on-demand video delivery platforms.
The company will show its MPEG-2 and H.264 HD and SD compression systems, including the DiviCom Electra 7000 HD and Electra 5400 SD H.264 encoders. These products will be shown with integrated and enhanced on-demand video delivery platforms that encompass live and offline content creation, automated ingest, Armada intelligent content distribution and delivery to the StreamLiner video servers.
Harmonic will also show an IP-based ATSC headend, which includes multiple MPEG-2 HD channels and SD video delivered in the allocated spectrum using the MV 500 HD encoder, Electra 1000 multichannel SD encoder and DiviTrackIP statistical multiplexing.
Among other items to be demonstrated are next-generation solutions for distribution and contribution, as well as a range of new and existing stream processing capabilities available on the ProStream 1000 stream processing platform, including ProCipher AES bulk scrambling/descrambling, Mentor re-encoding and multiplexing.
