Highwinds Network Group has unveiled StrikeTracker version 1.5, which adds real-time analytics, self-service live event provisioning and policy-based content-access protection, to the dashboard software for its content delivery network (CDN).

The new version’s enhanced analytics package provides byte-accurate reporting delivered from the edge within 30 seconds of delivery. Multiple dashboard views group related pieces of information at various levels of detail. When supported with real-time analytics, these views allow companies to make decisions that affect their online content monetization strategies on a minute-by-minute basis.

The new version also allows live streaming events to be provisioned through StrikeTracker without needing to contact Highwinds. Using StrikeTracker's point-and-click interface, event publishing points can be configured on-the-fly and are ready to begin streaming immediately.
