Danish operator launches cable IPTV service
The A+ Group has begun taking subscription orders for cable IPTV service in Ishøj, Denmark, in preparation for its commercial launch early next month. The service uses GoBackTV’s GigaQAM IP to extend FastTV IPTV services over the Ishøj “antenna society” facilities, and currently includes up to 50 SD and two HD channels.

Yahoo! Joins CBS Audience Network
CBS Interactive has forged an agreement with Yahoo!, making Yahoo! the newest distribution partner of the CBS Audience Network.

As part of the arrangement, Yahoo! TV will gain access to the network’s online catalog of entertainment content.

Telescope InSkin makes U.S. debut
The first U.S. advertiser to use Telescope’s InSkin format for advertising around a Web site media player went live on May 31, the company said last week.

InSkin enables real-time ads to be served to a dynamic frame that wraps around a player and provides publishers with a new incremental advertising revenue stream.

Dreampark commits to SVG standard
IPTV middleware provider Dreampark has announced it is committed to the new SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) standard for its ability to optimize the speed and performance of IPTV services.

Initial tests by Dreampark have shown that SVG, which is slowly being adopted by IPTV set-top box vendors, brings improvements to the perceived response times and speed on the client. It also brings a solution to the challenge of visualizing graphics in HD resolution without compromising speed.
