The relaunched NASCAR.com Web site gives fans a way to follow their favorite driver alongside the race telecast with the TrackPass RaceView feature.

NASCAR.com relaunches Web site with new features
Turner Sports New Media and NASCAR last week announced plans for two online initiatives intended to enhance fans' interactive experience.
TrackPass RaceView, a 3-D application with animation similar to that used in sports video games, and the Infield Community on NASCAR.com, a place for fans to interact, are part of the newly redesigned NASCAR.com, which launches Feb. 1.

EVS live streams People's Choice Awards webcast
EVS assisted with the Web streaming and video on demand content of the 33rd annual People's Choice Awards Jan. 13.
EVS XT[2]s were chosen for their ability to record, edit and then playout a wide range of feeds rapidly to showcase Web-only, behind-the-scenes footage.

WhiteBlox delivers ‘Bricklayer 500' via IPTV
Broadband network solutions company WhiteBlox broadcast the 2007 SPEC MIX Bricklayer 500 National competition from the World of Concrete/World of Masonry trade show Jan. 22-26 in Las Vegas via IPTV to spectators worldwide.
Expert bricklayers competed for more than $100,000 in cash and prizes and the title of "World's Best Bricklayer."

IPTV World Forum 2007 to feature keynote from Orange CEO
The IPTV World Forum 2007 will be held March 5-7 at Olympia in London.
Highlights of the exhibition will include keynote addresses from Bernard Ghillebaert, CEO of Orange UK; Mary Turner, CEO of Tiscali; Ashley Highfield, director of future media and technology at the BBC; Paolo Agostinelli, head of IPTV, Fastweb; and Paul Berriman, head of strategic market development at PCCW.

China Telecom to deploy UTStarcom IPTV system in Shanxi Province
China Telecom (CTC) has entered into a contract with UTStarcom for the deployment of its RollingStream end-to-end IPTV solution.
The deployment will bring a new commercial IPTV network to China's Shanxi Province. Initially, it will support 30,000 subscribers and is planned to include 14 service points covering major metropolitan areas of Xian, the capital city of Shanxi Province. The network is expected to offer as many as 80 channels of live, broadcast television; 24-hour time-shifting capability; about 10,000 hours of video-on-demand (VOD) content; and valued-added services, including karaoke and gaming.

Hawaii IPTV to launch with NeuLion platform
Hawaii IPTV has chosen NeuLion's iPTV service as the platform for its Hawaii Television Network. Using NeuLion's iPTV platform, Hawaii IPTV will deliver a variety of Hawaiian programming, in real-time and on-demand, directly to subscription and pay-for-view consumers anywhere in the world.

Spirent announces new division president
Rob Piconi will join Spirent Communications as president of its Performance Analysis-Broadband Division in Calabasas, CA.
Piconi's recent experience includes involvement with some of the largest IP video and Triple Play deployments in the world. In his recent general management roles at Lucent Technologies, Piconi led large R&D, engineering and product management organizations that penetrated new growth markets in next-generation access, IPTV and IMS.

Jazztel turns to Kasenna PortalTV for Videoclub
Jazztel, the Spanish telecommunications and data transmission provider, has launched its video on demand (VOD) service across Spain using Kasenna's PortalTV product suite.
The system, which includes more than 50 Kasenna video servers, powers Jazztel's VOD service, Videoclub, launched in Dec. 2006.

Sky Angel, ShifTV agree on IPTV service
DBS Christian TV and radio channel source Sky Angel has agreed to provide more than 30 TV and radio channels of Christian and family programming to ShifTV for delivery via high-speed Internet connection to the televisions of Canadians using an IPTV set-top box provided by ShifTV.
