Spirent Communications supports Alcatel-Lucent triple-play testing
Spirent Communications will collaborate with Alcatel-Lucent to enable solution validation within Alcatel-Lucent’s IP Transformation Center (IPTC) in Antwerp, Belgium. Spirent’s collaboration with Alcatel-Lucent lets operators transition to IP networks faster and with better quality.

Using Spirent’s triple-play test solutions, Alcatel-Lucent’s IPTC can validate QoS algorithms on its triple-play network. The IPTC lab employs the Spirent TestCenter GUI, which converts test cases into automated scripts for around-the-clock testing.

CBS appoints Radin to Senior VP post
The CBS Television Stations Digital Media Group has promoted Aaron Radin to senior VP, advertising sales and business development.
 
Radin will oversee national advertising sales, ad sales operations and business development for the station group’s Web sites and wireless platforms.

Ensequence names Howe VP, business development
Ensequence has appointed Rick Howe VP, business development. Howe will represent Ensequence with cable, satellite and IPTV operators and work closely with operators on the deployment of interactive TV advertising and programming initiatives.

OEN deploys Latens CAS
Houston-based Optical Entertainment Network (OEN) has deployed the Latens Systems FCAS to protect the revenues and content of the IPTV component of its FISION Triple Play Plus Services bundle, which is distributed to its customers through the FISION fiber to the home (FTTH).

LifeChurch.tv relies on Niagara PowerStreamPro
Oklahoma City-based LifeChurch.tv is using the Niagara PowerStream Pro video capture and streaming media encoder to encode live webcasts, including three weekly services for its Internet Campus, and to encode various media presentations for video-on-demand (VOD) programs.

LifeChurch.tv meets in nine U.S. locations and over the Web through its Internet Campus, which allows people across the globe to participate in live services and become a part of the LifeChurch.tv community locally and globally.

Broadband Enterprises to launch vComm
Broadband Enterprises said this week it will launch vComm, an online video distribution and transactional system that lets Broadband Enterprises operate a virtual marketplace in which advertisers, publishers and content providers can buy and sell inventory.

The vComm content and advertising distribution platform is a contextual-based system that pairs relevant online video programming and advertisements with textual stories and other online information sources.
