ITVN launches beta on-demand sports
Interactive Television Networks has launched the beta version of Setanta On Demand, which will allow subscribers on-demand access to all scheduled European soccer and rugby games for 24 hours following the end of the match.

ITVN carries Setanta Sports programming, including 1000 live and short-delay sports productions.

Limelight Networks delivers Current TV on the Web
Limelight Networks is providing the delivery network for www.current.tv, the online counterpart to the Current television network, co-founded by former Vice President Al Gore in 2005.

As the content delivery network for www.current.tv, Limelight delivers the combination of professional and viewer created video content featured on cable/satellite network Current TV.

RiT Technologies to join DSM Consortium

RiT Technologies will join the new Dynamic Spectrum Management (DSM) Consortium, a multi-disciplinary R&D effort aimed at developing advanced next-generation broadband technologies.

The goal of the consortium is to deliver new technologies that outperform today's VDSL2, delivering fiber optic-like data transfer rates over copper wire infrastructure.

Widevine secures HD, VOD deployment for SaskTel
Widevine Technologies has expanded its content security for SaskTel’s HDTV over IP deployment, available to SaskTel Max customers. SaskTel’s new HDTV service is part of a complete broadcast and VOD service offering comprised of 27 Max HD channels, claimed by Widevine to be one the largest high-definition lineups available to IPTV subscribers anywhere.

TechnoConcepts subsidiary provides STBs in China
Jinshilin Techno, the TechnoConcepts subsidiary in China, has completed its first milestone by shipping set-top boxes to the Shanghai Forests Information Technology Co. and the Television and Broadcast Bureau of the Henan Province.

The units will be integrated into an IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) demonstration network being built by Shanghai Forests in cooperation with Alcatel Network Support System.
