AdultVest inks 11 studio IPTV deals
AdultVest, the exclusive licensing agent for adult IPTV platform FyreTV, has inked non-exclusive license agreements with Acid Rain, Channel 69, Combat Zone, Critical X, Digital Sin, KBeech, Mercenary Pictures, New Sensations, Redlight District, TeraVision and VCX to use their adult movie titles for the FyreTV platform.

Markwell Industrial to deploy UTSrarcom RollingStream in Taiwan
UTStarcom has signed a contract with Markwell Industrial to deploy its RollingStream end-to-end IPTV solution in Taiwan. Markwell, a provider of cable, content and Internet services — including co-location, virtual hosting, security monitoring, education training and online shopping — will use the end-to-end RollingStream system to deploy IPTV-enabled triple-play services.

Micronas to discontinue IPTV STB business
Micronas has pulled the plug on its IPTV STB business, part of a streamlining of its product portfolio in the consumer division. The restructuring will affect about 100 employees in Santa Clara, CA, and about 20 employees in Shanghai, China.

blinkx partners with Real Estate TV
Video search engine blinkx has partnered with Real Estate TV in the UK to give viewers access to real estate video showcases on the Web. Through the partnership, Real Estate TV’s popular online property programming will be fully searchable and playable at www.blinkx.com.

GTA TeleGuam upgrades network
Guam telecommunications services provider GTA TeleGuam has selected Occam Networks to serve as the lead access equipment provider for a major network upgrade.

The first project includes upgrading 10,000 of GTA TeleGuam’s 70,000 access lines. The company is pulling fiber directly to the home in some areas, to the curb in other areas, with other areas remaining with copper for the time being. GTA TeleGuam offers local, long distance and cellular phone service, as well as broadband services.

GTA TeleGuam has purchased Occam’s Broadband Loop Carrier (BLC) 6252 ADSL2Plus and POTS Blade, the BLC 6640 Subscriber Trunk Gateway for GR303 signaling; the BLC 6312 Optical Line Termination Blade; and the BLC 6450 Access Aggregation Blade for 10GigE rings.
