Verizon FiOS TV kicks off service in Oregon

Verizon launched its FiOS TV service in the Portland, OR, metropolitan area Dec. 13, bring to 13 the number of states where the fiber optic-based television service is available.

The launch of FiOS TV in the state makes a broad range of programming choices available to 152,000 Oregon households initially, representing 410,000 potential viewers, where FiOS voice and Internet service are already available.

FiOS TV is immediately available to residents in Aloha, Beaverton, Cornelius, Dundee, Durham, Hillsboro, King City, McMinnville, Newberg, Tigard, Tualatin and Wilsonville. Forest Grove and Sherwood are scheduled to be added later this month.
