ViewCast to deliver live Flash Player video content

ViewCast has partnered with Adobe Systems, paving the way for ViewCast to add live Web video streaming via the Adobe Flash Player to the range of streaming formats supported by its GoStream Plus and Niagara Pro streaming media appliances.
These appliances will be used by content owners and delivery networks to enable real-time Flash Player video streaming of live and pre-recorded content. The intent is to support Flash users and the use of Flash for both live and video-on-demand (VOD) applications.
Release of the Flash video-enabled streaming appliances is planned for the second half of 2007.
