Avinity Systems to add H.264 support to RenderCast

Avinity Systems is adding H.264 support to its RenderCast platform, which enables on-demand Internet content to be delivered to a digital television over a two-way set top box (STB).
The RenderCast platform, currently an MPEG-2 product, is due to support the H.264 codec in the second quarter of this year, and will be shown with the new codec at NAB2008.
The H.264 codec lowers bit rate demands and provides more efficient support for HDTV signals.
