Harris to feature MPEG-4 suite

The new suite of Harris compression products complement current Harris MPEG-2 products, including the NetVX video networking platform (shown).
At NAB2007, Harris will showcase its suite of HD MPEG-4 Part 10 (H.264) compression products for contribution, distribution and transmission.
The new compression products leverage the latest advances in compression algorithm technology and complement current Harris MPEG-2 products, including the NetVX video networking platform and the DTP digital turnaround processor.
The NetVX video networking platform provides an integrated signal workflow, including video encoding, multiplexing and networking capabilities, targeting the needs of TV broadcasters and telecom carriers. Adding H.264 (MPEG-4) compression capability allows for new applications by reducing communications bandwidth requirements and lowering associated costs.
