JDSU has announced the JDSU OCC-56 smart optical channel checker, a small, lightweight channel checker for dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) networks.
The OCC-56 is a selective power meter for DWDM applications offering a low-cost alternative to optical spectrum analyzers (OSAs). It is compatible with the JDSU TLS-55 tunable laser source designed for channel routing applications, such as wavelength tracking, in ROADM networks.
