Latest MRG IPTV vendor rankings reveal new leaders

Multimedia Research Group’s (MRG’s) latest ranking of IPTV market vendors worldwide reveals new global leaders in each of six product segments.

The report, “Global IPTV Market Leaders Report - March 2008,” tracks the top 120 IPTV vendors in 24 regional sub-segments based on the installed base of six video systems products in more than 650 IPTV operations.

The new leaders are Motorola, Alcatel-Lucent, SeaChange and Verimatrix, with two product segments each for Motorola and Alcatel-Lucent. While the global market leadership has had less than 20 percent change since the last report in September 2007, more shifts and changes are occurring within the regional segments, as companies refine their strategies and absorb other companies.
