MatrixStream, Mytvpal.com launch 1080p, 5.1 surround streaming engine

MatrixStream has partnered with Mytvpal.com to launch a high-definition cinematic Internet streaming service with 5.1 surround sound.

Currently, most Internet video sites use plug-in Web technology that supports two-channel stereo. By using the latest MatrixStream MatrixCast streaming engine, users can now view video in full HD 1080p video with 5.1 surround sound on a PC or television via MatrixStream’s MX 1 set-top box.

The MatrixCast streaming engine displays HD video in native 1080p at a 24p frame rate. Users only need a minimum of 3Mb/s to view HD 1080p stream.
