Packet Vision launches IPTV advertising delivery platform

Sep 12, 2006 8:00 AM

UK-based IPTV advertising specialist Packet Vision has launched an IPTV delivery platform at IBC2006.

Designed for an IPTV environment, the platform offers network operators a cost-effective, easy way to implement local ad insertion, targeted advertising and interactive advertising.

The Packet Vision solution has a design similar to Internet devices, such as gateways or routers. A single rack-mounted box offers performance in excess of what traditionally has been provided by a whole cabinet full of equipment.

The in-built scalability of Packet Vision’s product also has the significant advantage that network operators can initially offer their advertisers straightforward local ad insertion and later enhance their service with targeted and interactive advertising when business needs demand.
