Terayon unveils content localization applications

Terayon's new applications operate in the MPEG domain, which protects against video degradation from converting content back to analog video.

Terayon Communication Systems unveiled its newly announced Overlay and SqueezeBack applications last week.

Terayon Static Graphic Overlay, Motion Graphic Overlay and SqueezeBack applications can help video service providers to localize content and create targeted advertising opportunities through real-time insertion of programming and sponsor information.

The applications, which operate uniquely within the compressed MPEG domain, eliminate the cost, complexity and video quality degradation of converting the video back to analog.
