Verimatrix unveils VCAS 2.0 IPTV theft protection
May 9, 2006 1:53 PM
Verimatrix has introduced the VCAS 2.0, an enhanced version of its IPTV theft prevention solution that protects a network operator’s revenue stream.
Verimatrix Content Authority System 2.0 includes protection against theft of services, provides a reseller model for additional revenue, integrates analog copy protection and offers a single system to provide conditional access for the cable, satellite and IPTV markets.
Theft of service prevention from Verimatrix is a proactive, multifaceted approach to eliminate revenue loss due to service piracy, such as cloned set-top boxes and attacks on the software-downloading platform. Because IPTV networks provide two-way capabilities, VCAS is able to detect and prevent theft of service in a dynamic environment responding instantly to unauthorized network use.
