China’s main national TV broadcast network, CCTV, has awarded Redwood City, CA-based ViDeOnline Communications the exclusive right to package and create online video ad partnerships for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
Under the agreement, which covers live and video-on-demand (VOD) channels, CCTV.com will use ViDeOnline's O8 intelligent ad insertion network to deliver targeted online advertisements during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games for mainland China and Macao SAR coverage.More than 75 percent of China's Internet users get their video entertainment, TV and movies on the Internet. According to China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), there are more than 200 million Internet users and more than 500 million mobile users in China.
