Front Porch Digital has announced the DIVAworks family, a new range of plug-and-play content storage and protection solutions for all levels of archiving and data management.

Designed for users in television and post production, DIVAworks offers the advantages of the company’s DIVArchive technology in a lower cost turnkey solution.

The new DIVAworks solutions are especially appropriate for companies who are not yet ready to install a larger, more complex solution. For example, DIVAworks Basic is an entry-level system comprised of a 24-slot data tape library, a single LTO-4 data tape drive, and a Windows-based, single-CPU server running the DIVArchive CSM software. Occupying 4RU, DIVAworks Basic also includes tape externalization and object-transfer utility features.

DIVAworks Enhanced is a middle-level solution comprised of a 48-slot data tape library, dual LTO-4 data tape drives, and two Windows-based, single-CPU servers running the DIVArchive CSM software, offering failure protection and increased system throughput. Fitting into 9RU of space, it also includes DIVArchive manager failover, tape externalization and object transfer utility features.

DIVAworks Professional is a scalable and redundant solution occupying only 13RU of space, with an expandable 50-slot data tape library, dual LTO-4 data tape drives, and two Windows-based, single-CPU servers running the DIVArchive CSM software, offering redundancy and a clear growth path for ever-expanding file-based storage infrastructures. DIVArchive manager failover, tape externalization and object transfer utility features are included.

DIVAworks solutions can be configured with all the required interfaces for major automation, media asset management, post-production and newsroom systems.
