Anchor Audio, a manufacturer of portable sound systems, has announced its new UHF-6400, a wireless receiver with 64 user-selectable UHF channels for ultra-reliable reception.
The UHF-6400 delivers diversity reception with two independent RF sections for interference-resistant UHF band operation. Phase Lock Loop (PLL)-synthesized reception further improves reliability. The UHF-6400 is designed for a full-range of indoor and outdoor uses such as auditorium speeches, small theater audio, gym sports announcements, and athletic-field marching band instructions.

A simple flip of a dial on the microphone and receiver eliminates any chance of interference from local broadcasting sources. With one connection a sound system has a wireless microphone.
The UHF-6400's diversity reception selects the best signal from its two independent receivers, which reduces dropouts and minimizes multipath distortion. Because the receiver is PLL synthesized, it provides a strong, solid signal by locking onto channels and stopping channel drift.
The receiver features factory-set, squelch control, which allows a maximum operating range while reducing noise. An LED digital display enables easy reading in "real world" situations. The receiver has a DC out jack that can charge the microphone if rechargeable batteries are installed.
The receiver comes with a handheld microphone (with a range up to 250 feet from the receiver), or a bodypack and choice of lapel, headband, or collar microphone. All microphones are field-tested with excellent marks for pick-up and clarity. Balanced and unbalanced audio output jacks are included.
