Andrew presents new optimized antenna structure

Andrew's Stacker carefully integrates the lower antenna into the support structure.

Andrew Broadcast Systems has introduced the Stacker, a new product that offers high antenna density. The Stacker carefully integrates the lower antenna into the support structure. Service access to each antenna is preserved, and there is no mechanical interconnection between antennas.

The Stacker’s flexible design is structured so that any antenna may be replaced while the structure remains on the tower and other stations remain on the air.

The Stacker’s mechanical design minimizes scattering and re-radiation. The transmission line for the upper antenna is routed behind the non-radiating leg – effectively disappearing from the view of the lower antenna.

It also features:

  • Maximize antenna density at the tower top

  • Independent operation, service and replacement of each antenna

  • Superior azimuth pattern performance

  • Lowest windload per antenna
