The Associated Press and Munich, Germany-based earth television network, which owns and operates the largest world-wide, fully remote-controlled broadcast camera network, have announced a new content distribution partnership that begins this month. Under terms of the agreement, the AP will distribute three key earthTV products to its broadcast and online clients through Europe and in other selected territories.

Earth television network operates 80 camera locations panning over city skylines, oceans and mountains and much more from all parts of world. Its global broadcast reach is augmented by earthTV.com, the company’s 24/7 Web channel. EarthTV delivers local markets in their own language and design.

The partnership also allows AP to license earthTV’s webTVplayer to its newspaper and publishing clients as well as other Web portals seeking high-quality daily video content. The three earthTV products are the hourly “The World Live” programs; the network’s weather programs — including 3-Day Forecast, weather reports with real images of the future, and earthTV’s event programming, which includes the “2010World Cup Countdown”  (daily LIVE from the host cities in South Africa) and the “New Year’s Eve” spectacular.

The new earthTV-WebTV-Player uses its own live broadcast-quality streaming video from around the world to deliver clients instant access to earthTV’s programs for easy and immediate integration with their own Web sites. The player is linked to social network and travel sites such as WAYN and Opodo.
