Global Summit on Emerging Technologies to examine unfolding media technologies

The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, the International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers and the European Broadcasting Union will jointly present the Global Summit on Emerging Technologies, May 21-22, 2009, in Prague, Czech Republic.
The summit will examine the foundation of media and entertainment through the next decade and give those responsible for their organizations' strategic direction insight into the unfolding world of media technology.
Among the technologies to be examined are wireless media networks, ultra high-resolution home theater, compression and digital signal processing technologies, 3-D entertainment from the cinema to the home, spectrum usage and new delivery technologies.
