KMBC-TV launches 24-hour digital AccuWeather channel

AccuWeather’s local AccuWeather Channel is carried on the digital tier of cable MSOs in 40 markets throughout the country.
KMBC-TV, the ABC affiliate in Kansas City, and AccuWeather have announced the launch of KMBC FirstAlert Weather Team’s new 24-hour digital channel.
First Alert Weather 24 Hours will feature around-the-clock weather content including national forecasts, regional forecasts and breaking weather news provided by AccuWeather’s Local AccuWeather Channel along with local weather forecasts provided by the KMBC weather team.
First Alert Weather 24 Hours offers a lineup of local, regional and national forecasts and is available on digital cable systems through Time Warner (Channel 1422), Comcast (Channel 247), and Everest (Channel 611).
The Local AccuWeather Channel currently airs on the digital tier of cable MSOs in 40 markets throughout the country. Included in the current 40-market station group are all ABC-owned and operated stations as well as CBS, Fox, ABC and NBC stations throughout the country.
