Arqiva Outside Broadcasts installed AXON Synapse routers and interface products as part of its two new HD teleproduction vehicles.

UK-based Arqiva Outside Broadcasts (formerly Scanners) has commissioned Sony Professional Services in the UK to build two double-expanding, 25-camera HD outside broadcast (OB) production vehicles with Dolby Audio.

Built to service the needs of a major sports contract with BSkyB, the trucks incorporate routers and interface products from AXON. Sony Professional Services installed the AXON Synapse audio and video interface products, including Dolby ER encode and decode modules, around a high-density NV8288 HD video router and NV7512 TDM digital and analog audio router. The system is married to the AXON NV9000 control system.
