ATG Broadcast joins Digistar for systems integration in Asia

ATG Broadcast, a UK-based international systems integrator, has established a partnership with Malaysian integrator Digistar, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, to offer a full line of services to television networks and production facilities in the Asia-Pacific region.

ATG and Digistar recently worked together on the construction of the new 65-channel ASTRO Broadcast Centre in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. ATG engineers designed all the broadcast areas including satellite downlinking, 50 incoming lines, tape ingest, a compliance editing and versioning area, a multichannel transmission area and reactive transmission suites for locally originated channels plus an MCR capable of monitoring up to 96 output channels. Digistar engineers and wiremen then installed the systems and assisted the ATG engineers with testing and commissioning.
