Axcera introduces frequency agile DTV translator/booster

The new translator/booster product is available in both an RF-baseband-RF and RF-IF-RF configuration.

Axcera has introduced a new frequency agile DTV translator/booster, based on its Innovator LX low-power television transmitter line.

The new translator/booster product is available in both an RF-baseband-RF and RF-IF-RF configuration. Both allow rebroadcast of the entire, intact DTV signal, including full HDTV transmissions.

The RF-baseband-RF product receives and demodulates the incoming off-air DTV signal to an ATSC-compliant SMPTE-310M bit stream before modulating the signal to a 44MHz intermediate frequency (IF). This allows PSIP virtual channel table (VCT) updates and baseband signal correction for the best possible signal to noise ratio. The RF-IF-RF variant accepts the off-air DTV signal and downconverts it directly to IF for signal processing.
