Baltimore Ravens purchase 100 Panasonic plasma displays



More than 100 Panasonic displays will help the Ravens’ broadcast press conferences and other material via an in-house RF system.
The NFL’s Baltimore Ravens have purchased 100 high-contrast Panasonic widescreen plasma video displays for the team’s new $31 million training facility in Owings Mills, MD.

The purchase includes 37-, 42- and 52in models. Twelve 50in 16:9 HD displays are used in the facility’s upper management offices, and in the cardio areas of the weight room and players’ lounge. Forty-six 42in units have been installed in coaches and scouting offices for viewing football footage. And forty-two 37in displays have been placed in general office spaces.

Panasonic Broadcast’s seventh generation of professional plasma displays consist of five 7-Series models, ranging from the 65in TH-65PHD7UY high-definition display to the 37in TH-37PWD7UY SD panel. The displays feature high contrast (4000:1on SD models and 3000:1 on HD units); 8.58 billion displayable colors; a 60,000-hour service life; and are equipped with interchangeable, multi-function slots for customizing the panels for an array of applications, including multi-screen display.
