BBC Technology demonstrated its Colledia Workflow product suite at last week’s SMPTE exhibit in New York City. New products shown that are designed to produce, manage and distribute television content are Colledia for Production, with a newly enhanced AAF plug-in for Windows Media 9 Series, Colledia for News and Colledia for Sports. In addition, the company showed its control and monitoring software, Colledia Control.
BBC Technology’s products support open systems, incorporating the AAF and MXF standards. The company said that the greatest business opportunities for broadcasters would result not from digital encoding and image resolution improvements, but from improvements in control, workflow, collaboration and management.
