Canon’s J22ex7.6B wide angle lens will help produce the current season of "Survivor" and "The Apprentice."
Bexel purchased more than 60 Canon lenses to handle the increased demand from these large reality projects, which they said would continue to shoot throughout the rest of this year. The Canon lenses were chosen because they work well with matte boxes, filters and other accessories reality producers need.
Most reality shows require 40 cameras on any given day, each using two lenses. The advantage to having two lenses is that the camera operator can change lenses whenever they want.
The purchase included 30 combined WRSD and WASD versions of the J22ex7.6B and J11ex4.5B wide-angle lenses and an IS-20B image stabilizing adapter.
