Broadcast Technology unveils the DTCA 3000 CA decoder

Broadcast Technology's new DTCA 3000 digital television conditional-access transport stream de-scrambler decodes all major CA formats. Occupying a single slot in the DTRS 3000 chassis, the decoder is a compact processor for end-of-line or digital-turnaround applications such as cable television head-ends.

The DCTA 3000 features multiple service de-scrambling, smart-card-compatible Conditional Access Module (CAM types 1 and 2) slot design and front panel service status display. Signal interfacing is via dual DVB-ASI input and three identical DVB-ASI outputs.

The 3U DTRS 3000 accommodates up to 14 identical cards or others in the 3000 series. It has an any-module-in-any-slot design. Each card is hot-swappable and can be controlled via RS232 or DARTnet. A hot-swappable, redundant dual power supply is also available.
