Arte chooses SGT media asset management

Arte, the European cultural channel, recently chose SGT to provide expansion for its media asset management system. The new installation will incorporate SGT’s Media Manager Browsing module, which can be used to access low-bitrate media.

Arte said the new capabilities will include the viewing of subtitles as well as access of multiple audio tracks. Since Arte is moving to the simultaneous use of several different stereo tracks from production to playout in several languages, it needed the additional monitoring capability.
