Blue Order, a global provider of media asset management (MAM) solutions has purchased and designed Telestream's FlipFactory workflow automation software into its suite of broadcast MAM solutions. Blue Order has selected Telestream FlipFactory technology to automate the process of generating low-resolution proxy formats from high-resolution content stored on broadcast video servers.
Following successful customer deployment, Blue Order is partnering with Telestream to offer automated proxy creation for other broadcast customers. Acting as a universal translator, FlipFactory will provide seamless connectivity between Blue Order's Media Archive and legacy equipment at broadcast facilities.
Telestream's FlipFactory automatically transcodes media into leading professional video and audio formats. In addition, it automates exchange of media and metadata between professional systems including all the leading broadcast servers, edit systems and streaming servers. Telestream customers include many of the world's leading broadcasters, such as BBC, SABC, ABC (U.S. and Australia), ORB, NRK, CNN and NBC.
The initial order for Telestream's FlipFactory was placed through Blue Order's German headquarters. Telestream's German distributor, Cross Atlantic, provides product fulfillment and local support.
