Digigram debuts new generation of PC sound cards

Digigram has announced the HR (High Resolution) series of PCX sound cards for broadcasters.



The new PCX882HR and PCX881HR multichannel sound cards include hardware sample rate converters on all inputs for simultaneous recording of digital signals with different sampling frequencies.

The new PCX882HR and PCX881HR multichannel sound cards include hardware sample rate converters on all inputs for simultaneous recording of digital signals with different sampling frequencies, a 66MHz/64-bit PCI interface and a more powerful onboard DSP. Eight inputs and eight outputs are provided — digital I/Os in the PCX881HR and analog and digital I/Os in the PCX882HR. Maximum levels of the analog inputs and outputs are +24dB.

The new cards feature a comprehensive set of drivers (Digigram np Runtime, WDM DirectSound, Wave, ASIO) and a physical design using the versatile short-length PCI format (only 175mm/6.875 inches long). The HR series comes with an expansion board connector for Digigram or custom add-on cards. An optional breakout box is available.
