More help is arriving for DTV startups

Thales introduced the “Digital Starter kit” at IBC2002. This kit will allow broadcasters to migrate from analog to digital services in a smooth manner.

The Affinity DVB-T family of low power transmitters is part of this family kit. The Affinity has a number of features that help with digital migration. These features include a small footprint, reduced number of components and easy maintenance procedures, including no tuning and hot-swap final power amps. The Affinity DVB-T can be included as part of the larger assortment of gear in the Digital Starter kit.
