Journal Broadcast Group, owner of more than 40 U.S. radio and television stations, is working with Dell Services to consolidate its data on Dell servers and storage to improve network performance and create a scalable IT infrastructure.
Dell Services has installed more than 50 PowerEdge servers and a Dell EMC storage area network (SAN) in Journal Broadcast Group's Milwaukee data center to support a variety of applications, including Microsoft Exchange. A second SAN was installed for an additional 2 TB of storage capacity to support the broadcasting group’s graphics department, specifically for compiling streaming video. The company has plans to eventually network all of its subsidiary locations into a core disaster recovery solution.
